Indiana Sprint Week Under Way

After two nights of high flying sprint car racing fun, Levi Jones is the overall points leader. Noblesville, IN. native Bryan Clauson is in top spot for the overal Indiana Sprint Week points race.

LAWRENCEBURG, IN.- USAC legend Dave Darland opened the 2009 edition of Indiana Sprint Week in style, winning the Robbie Stanley Classic from Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN. After the win, Darland said, "It felt great to win. A win is always good for confidence." Taking second was Bryan Clauson, while third went to Chad Boat.

GAS CITY, IN.- Brownsburg racer Levi Jones took the victory at Gas City Speedway, to close out the second night of the 2009 Indiana Sprint Week action. After the victory, Jones said, "It was great to win tonight." Clauson raced his way to another strong second place finish. "We would of liked to have won, but it's a solid run going into Kokomo." Rounding out the top three finishers from Gas City was Marion, IN. racer Scotty Weir. About his third place finish, Weir said, "It was good but first would have been better."

Heading into tonight's action at the always exciting Kokomo Speedway (Kokomo, IN.), Jones and Darland are one and two in the points race. Red Bull racer Cole Whitt sits in third, while Jerry Coons Jr. and Tracie Hines round out the top five spots in the USAC Sprint Car series points race.
