Fast Night at MCS

Busz gets first feature win

PERU, IN.- The Miami County Speedway was the sight of some high-flying fast racing on Saturday night. The night's racing program featured racing from Juniors, Restrictors, Non wing, Wing, and the Senior Classes.

Kokomo native Parker Price Miller (Upper Left) raced his way to another impressive feature in the Junior class. After the win, Price Miller said, "I broke a few thing, but came back to win. This feels great." Following Price Miller in second was No. 22 Justin Weir, while No. 11 Kaleb Kinsler drove his way to a strong third place finish.

Pierceton racer No. 73 Brian Busz won his first Restrictor feature of his career. After the win, Busz explained, "It felt pretty good. This is my fourth year running micros, and it's my first feature win." Taking second place honors was No. 29 Nick Abbott, while Richard Dobbins took third place in his No. 66 Restrictor.

Farmland racer No. 33z Zeke Lewis took the Nonwing B-Main victory. Peru native Brandon Rose drove to a second place finish in the NW B-Main, while No. 51 Jason Ormsby came home in third.

Then it was time for the Front Row Challenge, which the Non wing played host to on Saturday night. No. 14 Dennis Veach took the Front Row Challenge, and went from the pole all the way to the tail.

In the Nonwing A-Main, Camden's Chris Miller raced his way to the feature win in his No. 20 Nonwing micro. "It felt great to win. It's been a while, since I won, so it felt great. We are ready for the Thousand Dollar race next weekend." Following Miller was No. 23 Jordan Lambert in second. Third belonged to No. 19T Ben Taylor.

Camden native Whitey Kendall collected his second feature victory in the Senior feature on Saturday night. "It feels pretty good to win another feature", said Kendall. After Kendall, was the No. 40 Senior micro of Mike Stahl, while Dennis Veach took third place honors in his No. 13 Senior machine.

The final feature of the night was the Wing feature. Greentown racer Andrew Peters dominated en route to the feature win. After the win, "Peters said, "It felt great. It ran good in the slick, drove off good, everything was good." Bob Bourff drove his way to a second place finish, while third went to Brian Busz.

Next Saturday, August 1st, the Miami County Speedway hosts the Mid-season Nonwing Bonanza. A $1000.00 will be awarded to the winner of the Nonwing feature. It will also be the Restrictor Class Special, which means $150.00 will be awarded to the winner of the Restrictor feature.
