Sweet Wins at Lincoln Park

PUTNAMVILLE, IN. (LINCOLN PARK SPEEDWAY)- On Thursday night, Kasey Kahne racer Brad Sweet (Pictured Left) grabbed the top spot in qualification and never looked back, winning the 30 lap A-Main in the second night of Indiana Midget Week. 

Taking a strong second place finish was Kokomo native Shane "The Throttle" Cottle.  Third went to "The Hawk" Darren Hagan. Brad Kuhn finished fourth, while Wednesday night's winner Steve Buckwalter hung on to finish the night in fifth.

Bobby East stayed the front runner to finish sixth.  Another solid run gave Tracy Hines a seventh place run. Caleb Armstrong finished eighth, while Matt Smith took nineth. Jerry Coons Jr. was right behind Smith, finishing tenth.

After Coons Jr, it was Thomas Meseraull in 11th, Brad Loyet in 12th, Shane Hmiel in 13th, Henry Clarke "W. Griswald" in 14th, and Davey Ray in 15th.

Chad Boat finished 16th, while Levi Jones finished 17th. Finishing 18th was Sean Dodendoff, while current Mopar Midget points leader Bryan Clauson ended his night in 19th. Zach Daum took 20th, while Dave Darland ran 21st. Billy Pauch Jr. finished 22th, while Alex Bowman came home 23rd.

Brad Sweet is now third in the USAC Mopar National points standings.  Sweet is the current leader of the Indiana Midget Week" points race with 139. Buckwalter is second with 126. Kuhn is third with 121.  East currently sits fourth with 108, while "The Hawk" Darren Hagen is fifth with 99 points.

The USAC "Indiana Midget Week" is racing Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN.
