USAC Silver Crown Series

RICHMOND, VA.-After a few weeks off, the USAC Silver Crown Series returned to action at Richmond International Raceway this past weekend June 26-27.
Brian Tyler took the checkered flag in the feature. Bobby East took a hard fought second place finish, while Cameron Dodson followed in third. Ryan Smith raced to fourth. A.J. Fike held solidly in fifth. After the top five, we have Chet Filip (6th), Jacob Wilson (7th). TSR entry Tracy Hines finished eighth, while nineth went to current USAC Silver Crown series points leader Bud Kaeding. Rounding out the top ten was Jay Drake.
Some notable racers back in the field include: Levi Jones (14th), Jerry Coons Jr. (15th), Josh Wise (16th) and Kody Swanson (17th).
East led 86 of the 100 lap feature, before Tyler took it over for the win. Bud Kaeding sits in the points lead with 111 points this season. Second place goes to TSR entry Tracy Hines with 87, while third belongs to Jesse Hockett with 81 points. Shane Hmiel is close by in fourth with 79, while Jon Stanbrough is in fifth with 74 points on the season.
The USAC Silver Crown racers take a few weeks off, before hitting O'Reilly Raceway Park on July 23rd, to race 100 laps under the lights.
