PERU, IN- An estimated eighty-three micro sprints showed up to do battle on the dirt oval, as Miami County Speedway celebrated the yearly Miami County Fair Race on Wednesday night. The hot night of racing featured some local and well known racers (Rodney Stealy, Shane "The Throttle" Cottle and Stephanie Mockler) from all over the state, as well as some premier chassis builders (Concept, Morock, and Fastrax (FTX) Chassises)in the state.
Taking the Nonwing B-Main feature win was Argos racer No. 93 Tyler Stump. Behind Stump was the No. 91 Nonwing of Ryan Kline, while Amboy native Laine Hite took third place. Kokomo's Todd Kirkman drove to victory in the Wing B-Main. No. 38 Jimmy Wood took second, while No. 42 Connor Donelson came home third.

Todd Kirkman, Kokomo, held of a hard-charging Stephanie Mockler to emerge victorious in the Nonwing A-Main. After the hard fought win, Kirkman said, "I won eighteen features last season, and I've been working my butt off to win one this season. This win has been a long time coming," said Kirkman. After Mockler's second place finish, we find the No. 69H of Stuart Hanft in third place.

McCordsville racer Wes McIntire won the Wing A-Main. After the big win, McIntire said, "It felt great to win tonight. I've had trouble the last three weeks, and it finally felt good to get one (win) under my belt." Following McIntire was No. 3 Braylon Fitzpatrick in second, while No. 52M Stephanie Mockler brought home a top three finish.
The final feature of the night was the Slingshot class. The Slingshots are a new micro sprint series that are trying to build up some excitement, in hopes that they can start their own series in the future. Warsaw native Jason O'Hara raced his No. 119 Slingshot to victory, beating fellow Slingshotter No. 86 David Rapp. After the win, O'Hara said, "It's great to win considering it was hot out there tonight."
The micro sprints return to action Friday, June 26th, as they travel to Gas City Speedway in Gas City, IN. for the 600 Challenge.
