USAC Mopar Midget National Championship Series
NEWTON, IA.- Bobby Santos continued his hot streak, taking the checkered flag at Iowa Speedway on Friday, June 19th. Mopar Midget points leader Brad Kuhn took a strong second place finish, while Darren Hagan finished the night in third. Fourth place belonged to Brad Sweet, while Jerry Coons Jr. brought home a top five finish.
Cole Carter raced to a sixth place finish, while Shane Hmiel took seventh. Eighth place went to Kevin Swindell, while A.J. Fike was close behind in nineth. Rounding out the top ten was Adam Kramer.
Notable racers that finished outside the top ten were Tracy Hines in 11th, Bryan Olson in 15th, Hines's TSR teammate Levi Jones in 16th, and Bobby East in 17th.
Brad Kuhn leads the points chase with 701 points this season. Behind Kuhn is Jerry Coons Jr. in second with 665 points. Hagan sits in third with 653 points, while the fourth spot belongs to Sweet with 618 points. Rounding out the top five in points is Hines who has 600 points this season.
