Swindell Family Go 1-2 in Saturday's A-Main Chili Bowl

TULSA, OK.- Germantown, TN. racer Kevin Swindell (Center) raced his way to a second consecutive Chili Bowl Nationals win in Saturday night's 50 lap A-Main. Swindell's father, World of Outlaw legend Sammy Swindell ended another incredible week at the Chili Bowl with a strong second place finish. Third belonged to Auckland, New Zealand native Michael Pickens. Broken Arrow, OK. racer Jonathan Beason came away with a hard fought fourth place finish, while Noblesville, IN. native "The Bullet" Bryan Clauson came home fifth.

Avon, IN. racer Brad Kuhn raced his way to sixth, while seventh place belonged to Brownsburg, IN. racer Bobby East. Alpine, CA. native and NASCAR up-and-comer Cole Whitt took the checkers in eighth, while Jon Stanbrough ended his night in nineth. Owasso, OK. racer Daryn Pittman took the final spot in Saturday's top ten.

Tucson, AZ. native Jerry Coons Jr. raced his way to 11th, while 12th belonged to Wednesday night's Qualifying race winner Donnie Ray Crawford. Sunset Hills, MO. racer Brad Loyet ended his night in 13th, while 14th went to "The Demon" Damion Gardner. Belleville, IL. native Nick Knepper took the checkers in 15th.

Past Chili Bowl winner "The Cruiser" Cory Kruseman finished Saturday's A-Main in 16th. Fremont, CA. racer Shane Golobic finished right behind "The Cruiser" in 17th, while 18th belonged to Lincoln, IN. native Dave Darland. Darland was followed in 19th by Olive Branch, MS. racer Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Long Beach, CA. native Jason Leffler took the checkers in 20th.

Friday night's Qualifying race winner Shane "The Throttle" Cottle came home 21st, while World of Outlaw legend "The Wild Child" Jac Haudenschild ended his run in 22nd. Royersfield, PA. native Steve Buckwalter found himself in 23rd, while San Jose, CA. racer "T-Mez" Thomas Meseraull rounded out Saturday's A-Main field, finishing 24th respectively. 

 Germantown, TN. native and World of Outlaw Legend "Slammin'" Sammy Swindell (Pictured Left) kicked off the action-packed week of racing, by winning his second Vacuworx International Race of Champions. Lincoln, IN. racer Dave Darland came away with a hard fought second place finish, while third belonged to Long Beach, CA. native Jason Leffler. Phoenix, AZ. racer JJ Yeley stayed up with the front runners for a fourth place finish, while fifth went to Noblesville, IN. native "The Bullet" Bryan Clauson. 2010 Hoosier Hundred winner Tracy Hines raced his way to sixth, while Sunset Hills, MO. racer Brad Loyet took seventh. Watertown, NY. racer Tim McCreadie came home eighth, while Ventura, CA. racer "The Cruiser" Cory Kruseman took the checkers in nineth. The final spot in the top ten belonged to Alpine, CA. native and rising NASCAR Superstar Cole Whitt.
 
Clauson (Pictured Right) followed up his fourth place finish, with a big win in the Tuesday night's 25 Lap A-Main Qualifying Race. Clauson was followed by Auckland, New Zealand racer Michael Pickens in second place, while third belonged to Avon, IN. native Jon Stanbrough.

 On Wednesday night, Donnie Ray Crawford (Pictured Left) made history by becoming the first racer to win an A-Main Qualifying race from the state of Oklahoma. The Broken Arrow, OK. native was followed by Concord, CA. racer "The Demon" Damion Gardner in second, and San Jose, CA. native "T-Mez" Thomas Meseraull in third.

On Thursday night, Swindell added to his remarkable career at the Chili Bowl Nationals, by winning Thursday night's 25 lap A-Main. This win would give him the pole position in Saturday night's 50 lap A-Main. Tucson, AZ. racer Jerry Coons Jr. raced his way to second place, while third went to Belleville, IL. racer Nick Knepper.

On Friday night, Kokomo, IN. racer Shane "The Throttle" Cottle (Pictured Right) came away with the top spot, winning the 25 lap A-Main Qualifier. Lincoln, IN. native and USAC Legend "Double D" Dave Darland picked up second place honors, while third belonged to last year's Chili Bowl Nationals A-Main winner, Germantown, TN. racer Kevin Swindell.
